Oster® Professional blades are produced from the finest high-carbon steel and handcrafted to our rigorous standards, providing unparalleled precision and performance. Furthermore, our U.S. made blades are hardened to RC62-66 (Rockwell Scale C) in-house prior to receiving a cryogenic treatment which further enhances the hardening process. The blade cutting surfaces are then sharpened, finished and tested with proven Oster® proprietary processes, ensuring ultra-sharp blades that continue to stand the test of time.
 
Oster uses Cryogen-X technology to create the hardest clipper blades ever. The Cryogen-X treatment is a tempering process that deep freezes these high-carbon steel blades to -300 degrees F, so molecules are aligned in a perfect structure. The result is a harder, denser metal that holds a sharper edge through prolonged usage. The Cryogen-X Blades also withstand more sharpening treatments for unsurpassed longevity. Sharper blades glide through hair with less effort, saving you and your clipper from unnecessary fatigue and wear. Innovative "grooves" have been added to the comb portion to allow for more heat dispersion. These blades are the coolest running blades ever offered from Oster and are up to 20 degrees cooler than Oster conventional blades.
